Hello CAP! My name is Miss Thayer and I am thrilled to be a new part of this community.I was born and raised in Baldwinsville, NY. As I grew up I was an active member in my parish where I was an altar server and later taught Faith Formation. I am so excited to begin this new journey and am looking forward to an incredible year working with the students, families, and staff at CAP!

ART

I am the art teacher at the Cathedral Academy of Pompeii. I am also an illustrator and graphic designer with extensive experience in traditional and digital illustration and graphic design. I was inspired at an early age to pursue a career in the arts. This was in a large part due to my art teachers growing up. I am so glad to have the opportunity to inspire a new generation of students

and let them explore their creative

sides through art.

TITLE 1 ELA

For years, I have worked with students in pre-K through grade 6 in public and parochial schools. I also had the opportunity for several years to work as an education consultant/CEO with teachers in over 43 states and share information of how the brain learns best. Character education is a passion of mine and I have authored two books on the topic. Currently, my position as Title I ELA teacher at CAP is providing  further experiences that that are exciting and rewarding.
